Elanora Rose is a character cottage located on Frederick Street in Port Elliot, South Australia. Built-in the 1900s, the current owners renovated the place to restore its original beauty and history for holidaymakers to enjoy.
With an outdoor movie theatre, outdoor shower, an enclosed yard filled with lavender and flowers, BBQ and more, the owners weren’t looking to restyle the entire home. However, three bedrooms they wanted elevated to match the luxury-style accommodation they provide.

The owners decided to bring Jacki from Real Life Living on board.
Elanora’s charm is the eclectic blend of style and colour that embraces each room. The owners wanted to keep to that theme by avoiding an all-white approach. They also wanted to keep the existing furniture, challenging Jacki to choose fabrics, textures, and colours to complement the contemporary look.

After researching decorating and styling solutions, Jacki presented the owners with a digital mood board for each bedroom. With Jacki’s guidance, product information and advice, the owners were happy to move forward with her recommendations to keep within their budget.
Jacki chose linens for the two master bedrooms to bring together the furniture and the heavy artwork. By choosing soft Summer and Winter colours, Jacki created warmth, comfort, and a soothing ambience.

In the kid’s bedroom, Jacki chose colours and patterns to ‘style up’ the room to be the ideal kids’ space. By creating a space with design fluency rather than an assortment of styles that may not work with the existing furniture, Jacki was able to create a unique, non-gender or age-specific style that anyone would love having in their family home.

Jacki had a vision for the client’s deck to make it pop as people searched online for the perfect Airbnb. So she staged the deck ready for a family or friends movie night under the stars with popcorn, champagne, and cocktails.
